FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in opencast mining of horizontal and inclined deposits of sedimentation origin such as limestone, dolomite, shale, sand. According to method, with purpose of reducing expenses in operation and further processing of mineral due to drying of quarry field, quarry is located with its one of idle ends at side of underground water flow of water-bearing mass. Quarry field is opened by primary quarry or basin down to bottom at place of maximal downgrade of water-bearing mass floor. Created in quarry bottom is stationary water collector. Winning benches are worked on rising gypsometry of water-bearing mass floor, and they are prepared for drying by digging pilot draining trenches or slots. Initiated is collection of water inflows by water-branching trenches with discharging water into stationary water collector in quarry bottom. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl
