FIELD: mining industry; applicable in mining of flooded deposits of solid minerals. SUBSTANCE: method includes working of open pit field up to economically efficient depth with formation of external dump of overburden rocks and open pit water drainage, driving of underground development workings, gradual filling of worked-out open pit with rocks and extraction of mineral resources below limit position of open pit bottom. Novelty in method consists in that constructed on bottom of worked-out open pit before filling of rocks are draining members of mine water drainage in the form of strong rocks poured off below floor of main water-bearing reservoir. Then laid over them is freely filtering material, and essential clay rocks to cover the roof of main water-bearing reservoir. Operation of open pit water drainage is maintained for period of driving of underground development workings and rock pouring off. Drainage of strong rocks is continued, and mining reserves under pit is carried out under protection of poured off rocks with filling. Draining members of mine water drainage includes horizontal filtering columns and inclined boreholes connecting the filtering columns with underground mine workings. Feebly filtering materials may be used in the form of cloth, natural or artificial materials. In drainage of strong rocks, productivity of mine water drainage exceeds value of draining water getting through essential clay rocks.
