METHOD OF TREATMENT OF OIL BY MEANS OF PLUNGER PUMP WITH TRACTIVE MEMBER MADE IN FORM OF BAND STACK AND WELL PUMPING UNIT Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: production of oil by pump method, practically at any wells. SUBSTANCE: method consists in setting the pump plunger in reciprocating motion by winding/unwinding the bands any drum. In course of winding the band stack off drum before introducing it in tubing string, each half of band stack is bent in form of arc of circle whose diameter does not exceed diameter of tubing string; ends of each half of stack are bent in this shape before connecting them to plunger. Well pumping unit includes surface drum drive, flexible tractive member in form of band stack 2 at total thickness "h" which is connected with pump plunger, string 6 and mouth seal 3. Provision is also made for unit for imparting tubular form to two halves of stack 2 which consists of profiled rollers 4 forming round calibre having diameter D which does not exceed diameter of string 6; unit is also provided with additional seal of stack 2 located in hermetic housing 20 together with seal 3. Invention gives description of attachment unit used for securing the tractive member to plunger and additional seal. Unit with one drum 1 has pairs of rollers fitted between seal 3 and rollers 4: one roller in each pair is convex and one roller is concave over radius D/2. Axis of first convex roller is shifted to the left and axis of second roller is shifted to the right from the plumb-bob line by distance no less than h/2; concave rollers are located respectively to the left and to the right from convex rollers.
