FIELD: production of oil by pumping method with tractive members in form of band stacks. SUBSTANCE: pumping unit includes plunger pump and flexible tractive member in form of band stack. Drive includes two mounted in one horizontal plane on inclined guides having similar opposite slope. Half band stack is wound on each drum. Drum is provided with side cheeks; on end faces of drum tape rollers are mounted which are located at level of band stack being wound. Generatrices of surfaces of opposite taper rollers are parallel and distance between them is equal to width of band stack; angle of inclination of generatrix is equal to , where d_min is minimum diameter of taper roller and d_d is diameter of drum. Reduction gear has gear wheels whose output shafts are connected with drums by means of universal spindles. Differential gear is fitted between spindle and output shaft of reduction gear.
