FIELD: reduction gears of drives of metal-cutting machines and other machines. SUBSTANCE: provided in wall of housing in holes for radial roller bearings are mounting slots with two sides on outer ring of intermediate stem-pinions, thus making it possible to mount units in solid housing assembled outside the housings; intermediate units consists of intermediate stem-pinions, gear wheels and internal races of roller bearings, several stepped single gear trains, trains with stages divided into two symmetrical pairs of helical gear wheels at opposite inclination of teeth and multiple trains. Mounting slots are formed by cylindrical surface in solid housing for double-stage trains. For four-stage trains, mounting slots are formed in intermediate wall of solid housing. Four-stage multiple trains consist of two double-stage trains connected by means of stem-pinion running through intermediate wall of solid housing with no radial support. EFFECT: simplified construction, facilitated manufacture and increased gear ratios due to increased number of stages. 3 cl, 8 dwg
