FIELD: environmental control, detection of aerosols of strong base by systems of quality control of environment, specifically, air in industrial zones, gas releases of industrial enterprises, conducting of scientific researches. SUBSTANCE: composition of sensitive element includes acid-based blue bromine-phenol indicator deposited on surface of solid matrix with following proportion of components, per cent by mass: bromine-phenol blue 1.0-1.8; glycerin 30.0-35.0; water 2.0-5.0, matrix being the balance. EFFECT: improved functional efficiency and reliability of indicator composition.
