FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly has fuel bundles mounted one behind other in a spaced relation with their plugs fixed on one end in finite lattices, and tail ends; finite lattices are placed between fuel bundles and plugs on other end of fuel elements are spaced from tail ends at distance ensuring easy elongation of fuel elements under operating and emergency conditions. Clearance between plugs of fuel bundles placed one behind other is large enough to easily insert cutting element between plugs. EFFECT: improved stiffness between adjacent fuel bundles of fuel assembly; improved stability of thermal neutron flux between fuel bundles and between fuel assemblies within entire life. 2 cl, 1 dwg
