FIELD: agriculture, in particular, feed production. SUBSTANCE: feed grinder has frame, cylindrical hopper mounted in inclined position for rotation on frame and provided with longitudinal slots. Hopper bottom is fixed in spaced relation to cylindrical side surface. Grinding unit is mounted on hopper bottom. Hopper is provided with two charging windows with hinged cover. Apparatus grinds bales of feeding material, when upper charging window is closed and lower charging window is opened. Grinding of roots is performed, when upper charging window is opened and lower charging window is closed. Such construction allows fodder bales as well as roots to be ground. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 6 dwg
