FIELD: tobacco industry. SUBSTANCE: smoking article for filtering side-stream smoke released by burning cigarette has exhaust fan mounted in central block and side-stream smoke filter holder with pipe for holding burning cigarette. Filter holder is disposed in casing connected with central support of fan. Length of cigarette pipe is equal to that of cigarette. Permeable filtering member positioned at the end of cigarette pipe requires low pressure difference for removal of side-stream smoke. Smoking article may be further provided with filter for expired smoke. Thus, side-stream smoke as well as expired smoke are filtered prior to being discharged into environmental air. Such construction of smoking article allows it to be used in premises or places, where smoking is restricted or forbidden. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified construction. 29 cl, 30 dwg
