FIELD: smoking articles. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has first noncombustible tubular member with cigarette useful portion filled with tobacco and inserted inside it, and second tubular member equipped with device for reducing the release of side-stream smoke from burning tobacco portion. Second tubular portion is designed for decreasing the rate of free burning of mentioned tobacco portion in order to increase the number of inhalations of tobacco portion. Apparatus provides for smoking of thinner cigarette containing minimal amount of tobacco required for obtaining desired effect similar to that produced by common number of inhalations.
