FIELD: separation of substances by means of membrane plants, in particular, of ultrafiltration plants; may be used in chemical, petrochemical, food and other industries. SUBSTANCE: membrane plant consists of vessels for used mixture, concentrate and filtrate, circulating pumps, pipeline, accessories and membrane apparatus of tubular type (or several membrane apparatuses connected in series) and also fan connected by means of pipeline with branch pipe on body of membrane apparatuses. The plant operates as follows. Liquid from vessel of initial mixture is pumped by circulating pumps at excessive pressure to membrane apparatus. One part of mixture in the form of concentrate is withdrawn from apparatus and the other part is passed through semipermeable metal tubular membranes to form film on the membrane external surface. Film flows in the form of drops down apparatus body. Simultaneously, air is formed to apparatus tube space by fan. In tube space, filtrate and air interact to transfer heat from one source to the other. Depending on direction of heat transfer, separated mixture is cooled or heated to preset temperature. Temperature conditions of separation of mixtures are set and regulated directly on the surface of membrane.
