FIELD: solid fuel processing. SUBSTANCE: method consists of two-step breakage with crushing in the second step on two-roll crusher. In the first step, material is broken up to fineness -15+0 mm with residual content of -15+10 mm class 10-20% and, in the second step, crushing is carried out with the size of gap between rolls determined by equation : δ = d(1-ε_o). In this case, value of yielding of system in the gap increase direction is chosen from equation: П = K(P/ε_a). These conditions are fulfilled when using apparatus containing casing 1, shaking cross-bars with, fixed on them, two rollers 3 independently connected to drives through flexible connectors. In the top part of apparatus, there is bolt 4 with clamping spring set 5. Displacement of rolls and gap between them are adjustable with the aid of stops.
