FIELD: plastic working of sheet materials. SUBSTANCE: method and apparatus are controlled by microprocessor and designed for shaping sheet material to building panels for erecting different constructions. Sheet material is shaped to panel with smooth lower portion and lateral sides in such a way that length of panel is monitored for controlling operation of shaping apparatus. Then panel is fed to bending station where at least a part of panel is reduced in such a way that it becomes curved or arched. Curvature of panel is controlled for adjusting position of rollers of bending station in order to make part of panel exactly corresponding to preliminarily selected flexure. Length of bent part of panel is adjusted at making panels with straight portions as well as with bent ones. Rollers are automatically returned to their initial position for reducing panel portions with different curvature radius. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 14 cl, 8 dwg
