FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cutter is intended for cutting continuous beam with variable bents at rolling quench machine outlet. Cutter assembly comprises pickup device to follow continuous beam shape and cutting assembly to engage with and to support continuous beam side when cutter band cuts said beam across into parts. Controller is connected with rolling-quench machine and cutting assembly to control the latter and configured to actuate pickup device and beam cutting band for cutting said beam into segments, symmetric about lengthwise axis, each having identical central section, bent or not, and bend end sections identically bent in mirror image.
EFFECT: higher quality of cutting.
