FIELD: hydraulics, in particular, reprocessing of worn tires into rubber crumb used as raw material in manufacture of rubber products. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has mandrel 4 for supporting tire 5 axially mounted on it and nozzles 2 of water jet tool positioned at an angle to mandrel axis. Mandrel 4 and/or water jet tool are mounted for rotation relative to mandrel axis. Construction of apparatus allows cutting of passenger car and truck tire rubber to be performed in optimum predetermined modes of operation with rotating mandrel 4 and of heavy truck and tractor tire rubber with rotating water jet tool and immovable mandrel. EFFECT: increased efficiency of tire processing and provision for producing uniform size rubber crumb. 16 cl, 9 dwg
