FIELD: elimination and salvaging of solid propellant rocket engines, and ammunition applicable in salvaging of charges of composite propellants being in the bodies of the solid propellant engines, providing for a hydrojet finishing of the charge within the body, gathering and extraction of solid propellant in the form of its lump fragments of various size for subsequent processing, for example, by the chemical method.

SUBSTANCE: the body with the charge of solid propellant is dipped in the working fluid, through the vent the body is washed out and the bottom dwelling of the charge fastened to it is extracted, separate the bottom by the mechanical or/and hydrojet method layer by layer in the axial direction, distruct the fastening coupling of the solid propellant to the body, separate the circular part of the body, making free the end layer of the charge, which is dissolved by mutually intersecting rows of slots into cantilerly projecting columns and finally distruct into lump fragments by sprays with a radially directed power action.

EFFECT: provided elimination of charges of composite solid propellants fastened to the bodies of rocket engines by large-fragment circular portions, cutting of the bodies and lump, various size finishing of solid propellant for subsequent processing, besides, enhanced is the capacity, reduced power consumption and provided safety in operation.
