Abstract RU 2098388 C1

FIELD: superhard materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing superhard material in apparatuses operated at high pressure and temperature. Four layers are successively placed. The first one is metal composition in the form of triple quasi-eutectic Ti/Al/Cu alloy which is subjected to antiliquation heat treatment, grinding, spheroidization, and ultrasonic treatment. Cutting layer placed on the first layer is manufactured from titanium iodide and cubic boron nitride powders submitted to ultrasonic treatment and being metal plated. Substrate layer placed on cutting layer is manufactured from mixture of plated cubic boron nitride, titanium iodide, and Ti/Al/Cu alloy powders. Disposed on the substrate, bearing layer contains Ti/Al/Cu alloy powder or mixture of plated Ti/Al/Cu alloy powder with solder alloy. Multilayer charge is affected by high pressure and high temperature simultaneously by way of gradually raising temperature and lowering pressure during isothermal pauses. EFFECT: improved cutting capability of material.
