FIELD: manufacture of superhard materials. SUBSTANCE: manufacture of ceramic composite materials makes it possible to obtain tips of the preset shape and enhance their cutting properties at machining of irons. Composites are obtained in a built-up graphite heater by impregnation of a mix of powders of ceramics and cubic boron nitride, mix of powders and substrate fibre and pressed fibre of the contact layer by melted metal binder. Metal binder from a mix of eutectic composition of Ti with metals of series Cu, Sn, Ag, alloyed 0.5 to 3% Nb, with an addition of 3 to 5% by mass of powder is moulded into a preform and placed in the lower cylindrical part of the graphite heater, placed in the upper part of the heater (of the preset shape) in contact with metal binder is a mix of powders of the cutting layer, placed on it is the substrate pressed from a mix containing oxide-carbide ceramics with fibre of refractory metal coated with the same fusible metal that used in the eutectic alloy, in the amount of 4 to 6% of the fibre weight, the substrate is made with a content of fibre increasing up the section, then the contact layer is placed. The filled graphite heater is subjected to the effect of high pressure and temperature. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture of cutting tool.
