FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmaceutical industry. SUBSTANCE: 4-chloro-2-thiopheme carboxylic acid is prepared by interaction of 4-chloro-5-trimethylsilyl thiophene with suitable base, the process is carried out at temperature less than -50 C. Thus obtained suitable anion is treated with carbon dioxide, the process takes place at temperature less than -50 C and it is followed by removing of silyl group. Thus prepared product is used as intermediate by production of 5-fluoro-6-chloro-3/4-chloro-2-thenoyl/-2-oxyindole-1-carboxamide which possesses pharmaceutical activity.
