FIELD: pulp-and- paper industry. SUBSTANCE: polymer is destroyed by electric gas discharge when imposing high voltage on ionizing electrodes. Thickness of sample reaches 10-15 mm. Destruction is performed at voltage above 45 kV until disruption. Ionizing electrodes are placed at distance 65 to 120 mm from the sample. EFFECT: improved environmental characteristics of products and simplified procedure. 2 tbl
