FIELD: wind-power engineering; wind-driven rotors converting energy of wind into rotation of rotor. SUBSTANCE: self-orientable wind-driven unit includes screw rotor inclined relative to horizontal surface; this rotor consists of hub and helical blades secured on it. Rotor is mounted on swivel structure in order to enhanced efficiency of usage of energy of wind due to raising of screw rotor above ground and simplification of construction. Swivel structure is mounted on mast and is formed by screw rotor, vertical strut for turn about mast and brace. All members of swivel structure are interconnected by means of hinges.
