FIELD: wind-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: screw-type wind rotor has shaft carrying screw-type blades of funnel shape. Generating line of screw funnel-shaped surface is described by monotonous radius function, its special case being slant straight line. Funnel-shaped surface functions in this case as slant helicoid. At certain parameters, slant helicoid is developed into plane. Then funnel-shaped screw-type blade may be made of flat annular blank. Wind rotor with funnel-shaped screw-type blades is more effective in inclined position than that with straight screw-type blades. In addition, it can operate in vertical position and does not depend on wind direction. EFFECT: improved power efficiency, wind energy utilization factor, higher energy output at slow speeds, reduced strain in structural elements, reduced acoustic, electromagnetic, and ecological effects. 2 cl, 2 dwg
