FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed variable-speed drive is designed for transmission rotation through hermetically sealed wall separating heterogeneous media with different pressures, and reducing and functionally converting rotation by multiplying rotational frequency by definite parameters. Low-flexibility ring-tape with magnetically soft shoes is arranged together with magnetically soft shoes of ring magnetic circuit-modulator by means of tape hangers, modulator being connected with input shaft, and with ring in circular working magnetic gap formed by fixed permanent magnet with pole shoes and ring magnetic circuit-screen with inner profiled friction path connected with output shaft. Owing to radial magnetic forces, low-flexibility ring with shoes is made for engagement of external friction edges with inner friction path of magnetic circuit-scree and for turning output shaft at rotation of input shaft. With magnetic circuit-screen secured on base for axial displacement and connection of low-flexibility ring-tape with output shaft, shoes, rolling by their friction edges along friction path, turn low-flexibility ring-tape at rotation of input shaft owing to inequality of perimeters of path and summary length of arcs of shoe friction edges. EFFECT: increased antiinterference protection, simplified design, improved reliability and accuracy, reduced overall dimensions, enlarged operating capabilities in measurement conversion. 11 cl, 11 dwg
