SUBSTANCE: cleaning the waste gases is effected through ionization till cold plasma has been obtained due to high-temperature heating through conversion of at least part of thermal energy of gases into electric discharge. Device for realization of this method includes ionizer which is part of gas discharge pipe line and electrodes; at least one electrode or part of electrodes are made from dielectric material on which conducting layer is applied. Device is also provided with converter for conversion of thermal energy into electric energy and electric energy accumulator.
