FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: given method is meant for determination of drift of gyroscopic device on mobile base. Device is anchored on internal frame of three-axis gyrostabilizer that is used as base. Base is given mechanical oscillatory motions with fixed amplitude and frequency. Specified motions are created by formation of periodic actions along each stabilization axis. Then actions are removed. Stabilization mode is set along three axes of gyrostabilizer. Action constant in value is formed on intermediate axis of gyrostabilizer. Angle between stabilization axis of device and external axis of gyrostabilizer is found. At moment of time when angle reaches calculated value stabilization mode of intermediate axis is set. Constant action for stabilization of external axis is formed. Angular velocities of frames about external axis are determined. Obtained angular velocity is compared with calculated value of velocity of motion of base along its trajectory under operational conditions. EFFECT: provision for increased precision of check by approximation of check conditions to operational conditions. 3 dwg
