FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument engineering and can be used to determine the systematic component of the angular drift velocity of a two-degree float gyroscope, for example, in high-precision gyroscopic systems for various purposes. Method of calibrating the systematic component of the angular drift velocity of a float gyroscope consists in the fact that it is mounted on a levelled base, wherein the input axis of the gyroscope of the angular velocity sensor is set roughly in the north direction. Then the feedback is disconnected and simultaneously with the information reading from the gyroscope angle code sensor the nominal value of the given angle is calculated in accordance with the nominal motion equation, and the systematic component of the angular velocity of the gyroscope drift is determined from information signals equal to the difference between the nominal values of the angle of rotation of the gyroscope and the values of the code sensor of the angle of the gyroscope.
EFFECT: shorter time for calibrating the systematic component of the angular drift velocity of the float gyroscope and high accuracy of determining it.
