FIELD: power supply for apparatuses with corona-forming electrodes, such as electric precipitators, ozone generators, miscellaneous devices carrying reactive and resistive loads. SUBSTANCE: power supply has DC voltage source, voltage changer, storage capacitor, working pulse generator, and control pulse generator. Voltage changer has pulse transformer whose primary winding is connected to DC voltage source through additional switch and output of working pulse switch is connected through series-connected nonlinear inductance coil and diode to primary winding of pulse transformer. This eliminates oscillating process in input circuit caused by capacitive load, for example, across precipitator electrodes, and makes it possible to return excess pulse energy to DC voltage source.
