FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves dosed supplying and pumping of liquid into capillary-porous root medium through porous walls, with continuous flow of liquid through walls being maintained and water potential value of mentioned medium being regulated by changing pressure of moistening liquid at other side of porous wall. Soil and/or ion exchange ion-saturated soil substitute is used as capillary-porous root medium. Liquid is pumped out from capillary-porous root medium at negative stabilized pressure difference. Apparatus has hermetically sealed reservoir provided with pressure stabilizer and pipelines. Pump is mounted on one of pipelines. Root module with capillary-porous root medium and porous water distributor are connected through pipelines to hermetically sealed reservoir. Water distributor has drain channels. Control unit connected with actuating mechanisms of pressure stabilizer and pump and with valve allows operation of apparatus to be optimized. Pump is made in the form of volumetric doser. EFFECT: simplified method and construction, increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 cl, 1 dwg
