SUBSTANCE: device has rectangular-section shield made of optically transparent inorganic silicate glass sheets in the form of vessel with cover filled with optically transparent electrolyte for absorbing electromagnetic radiation; vessel is installed on solid support; cover is mounted on vessel for displacement to admit electrolyte into vessel inner space for keeping volume conductivity of electrolyte between 0.01 and 10.0 S/cm. In this way, absorbing properties of device are regulated. Device functions to reduce electromagnetic pollution of environment by electromagnetic radiation sources which improves hygienic conditions of human environment. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of device.
