FIELD: catalyst production. SUBSTANCE: titanium, molybdenum, and vanadium-based catalysts are distinguished by their catalytic activity being essentially inferior to tungsten-containing catalyst. In contrast to commonly practiced 10-12% molybdenum oxide content in catalyst, invention recommends using 0.01 to less than 5% (better 1.5 to 4%). Such catalyst exhibits activity comparable to that of tungsten-containing catalyst. Invention is appropriate for all nitrogen oxide content reducing catalysts simultaneously containing reducing agent, that is, in particular, lamellar and honeycomb catalysts. EFFECT: improved catalytic activity. 8 cl, 3 dwg
