FIELD: catalysts. SUBSTANCE: catalyst body contains a multitude of canals oriented in preferred direction, each of canals having approximately rectangular cross-section perpendicular to preferred direction. Number of canals lies within a range of 0.5-2.5 per 1 sq.cm. Longitudinal sides of the first-group canals are arranged approximately orthogonally to sides of the second-group canals. Canals are combined in subgroups, canals of each subgroup being arranged approximately quadratically relative to their cross-section.
