FIELD: carrying cargoes in standard cargo containers. SUBSTANCE: submarine has outer and pressure hulls; pressure hull consists of separate pressure cargo compartments-holds made in form of cylindrical envelope or in form of envelope having form of ellipse or rectangle in cross section. Pressure compartments-holds are isolated by pressure bulkheads lengthwise; distance between two adjacent pressure bulkheads is equal to size of standard cargo container. Space between transverse bulk- heads is used as ballast tank and trunk for loading the containers through vertical and horizontal hatches. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
