METHOD FOR LOOSENING SOIL IN IRRIGATED FIELDS WITH PERMANENT DRAINAGE SYSTEM, AND LOOSENER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural technology. SUBSTANCE: this soil loosening method is intended for land reclamation and can be employed as addition to main operations of land draining. Loosener is designed for realization of aforesaid method. According to method, loosening of soil is effected at different depths separately in plowing horizon and hardpan with simultaneous arrangement of mole holes across drain lines. Loosening of soil at different depths is performed with increasing loosening zone towards mole holes with cutting additional inclined slot directed towards side of mole holes. Loosener has frame, mounting mechanism and working member for spatial loosening. Each of components is made in the form of cylindrical ring having blade with cutting edges. Cylindrical rings are made equidimensional and they are installed on frame with step facing backwards. Rings of largest and smallest diameters are positioned behind ring of middle diameter. Application of aforesaid method and implement provides for higher water permeability of soil, improved air-water conditions of rooting zone, lower cost of operation on irrigated land.
