FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: 90-deg V-type two-cylinder engine has crankshaft, connecting rods and pistons. Cheek counterweights are mounted on crankshaft cheek extensions. Pulley and flywheel are mounted on opposite ends of crankshaft. Both connecting rods are fitted on one connecting rod journal. Engine is provided additionally with one middle and two extension counterweights. Extension counterweights are secured, respectively, on pulley and on flywheel and middle counterweight is placed on connecting rod journal between connecting rods. Reduced mass of middle counterweight is 0.25-0.5 and sum of reduced masses of extension counterweights is equal to 0.17-0.47 of total mass of all counterweights secured on crankshaft. Products of reduced masses of extension counterweights by distance from each counterweight to middle of crankshaft are equal to each other. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
