FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: toothed converter incorporates housing, cylinders, pistons linked up with con-rod top ends by pins, tow fear wheel pairs, front and rear p.t.o.-shaft and idler shaft fitted on sliding support furnished with gear wheels on its edges. Play between gear wheel teeth caused by their wear is taken by hydraulically tightening gear wheels on journals of tapered articulated pairs to gear wheels of all aforesaid shafts and toothed rims, of the same taper, the aforesaid tightening being provided for by oil pressure against blind wall of gear wheels fitted on journals. Aforesaid gear wheel pair represents an element not linked with the housing and running about its center of rotation located on the axis shared with p.t.o.-shafts and idler shaft to transmit rotary motion to the said p.t.o.-shafts. Idler shaft represents an element linked up with the converter housing by the said sliding support at the center of which there is a through oil channel communicating, via a radial bore, with the said support oil chamber. Linkage between idler shaft and the gear wheel pair counterweight is made up of a union and idler shaft arranged to feed oil in the said gear wheel pair sliding bearings.
EFFECT: reduced vibration, improved fuel mixing and combustion, lower wear and overheating of piston and valve assemblies, higher engine efficiency, ease of manufacture and repair.
