FIELD: construction industry, examination of buildings and structures, tests of construction and machine-making structures, conducting of laboratory practicums in strength of materials. SUBSTANCE: beam anchored on supports is loaded and angle of inclination of plane of acting bending moment to vertical axis of section is determined. In addition flexural vibrations are excited in turn on resonance frequency in beam in two mutually perpendicular planes along direction of major central axes of inertia and these vibrations are measured. Angle of inclination to horizontal axis in section of beam is found by formula β = arctgβ = -arctg[tgα•(fy/fz)2],, where α is angle of inclination of plane of action of bending moment to vertical ( major central ) axis of inertia; fy, fz are correspondingly resonance frequencies of vibrations of beam in direction of action of major central axes of inertia of section.
