FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of making crane runway structure 1 asymmetrical in cross section comprising crane runway H-beam with wall tilted at acute angle relative to vertical and chords parallel to each other, and brake beam 3 with outer chord and brake shield connecting outer chord with crane runway H-beam comes to the following: cross section of H-beam is formed on rolling mill and when rolling the profile, section is deformed to re-distribute area between wall and chords in proportion of 0.5-0.75 per wall and 0.5-0.25 per chord. Acute angle Θ of wall tilting relative to vertical is found by calculation using the formula given in description of invention with due account of static moments of brake beam, vertical H-member and maximum inertia moment of wall before and after its turning. EFFECT: reduced metal usage. 3 tbl, 1 dwg
