FIELD: testing of mechanical and construction structures. SUBSTANCE: rod is anchored in supporting devices of testing machine and is loaded with longitudinal force. Lateral vibrations on resonance frequency are excited in rod in direction of least flexural rigidity under states loaded and unloaded by specified longitudinal force P. Having measured these vibrations one determined critical force Pcr by mathematical dependence. EFFECT: decreased labor input and testing time. 2 dwg
