FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: thermal switch has electrodes and heat-sensing component in the form of sealed tube made of fusible conducting material whose inner space is filled with catalyst that does not conduct electric current as well as shell fixed on tube on side of heating. Shell has higher heat conductivity than material of tube with tinned inner surface. Thermal switch remains serviceable upon compression strain and can be easily built in enclosure of tubular heater to replace one of its contacts. EFFECT: improved reliability and reduced size of switch. 9 cl, 7 dwg
