MOBILE ANTENNA INSTALLATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: antenna engineering. SUBSTANCE: mobile antenna installation has container holding the equipment physically coupled with antenna assembly incorporating hydraulic cylinder, derrick mast with antenna made for rotation about vertical axis, and antenna rotational drive. Container is designed for mounting on motor vehicle and has external turning supports mounted for contacting the ground. External turning supports are mounted on container for arrangement on vehicle in transit position along container within its side clearance gage. Container accommodates frame with bearings supporting probe kinematically coupled with rotational drive. Derrick mast coupled with probe through mentioned hydraulic cylinder is installed on probe for turning in vertical plane. Antenna is built up of at least two panels hinged to derrick mast and has panel setting-up-and- packing element. Container includes compartment provided with doors opening up and is made for accommodating frame and derrick mast with in transit position of antenna installation. Panels are provided with centering members mounted for engaging side walls of mentioned compartment. Derrick mast has facilities for locking it in set-up and packed position. Panels are secured on derrick mast so that in transit they are in parallel to each other and to plane of mast turn. EFFECT: compact design enabling transportation of antenna installation over ground, by water, and by air, facilitated setting up and packing, improved protection of against accidental and premeditated injury when antenna installation is in transit. 4 cl, 8 dwg
