FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: licorice root extraction machine has frame 1 carrying brackets 2 and 4 of hanger, carrier wheels 6, vertical knives 7 and 8, digging share 9 with rod bottom 10, reducer 18 and drive with cardan shaft, rotor 11, baffle shield 12 and pivotally mounted auxiliary frame 13 provided with hydraulic drive 15 for raising and lowering auxiliary frame 13 and rotational drive for rotor 11. Rotor 11 is mounted on auxiliary frame 13 behind and below baffle shield 12 so that supports 21 for rotation of rotor 11 on auxiliary frame 13 are positioned between its parts, and one of pins of reducer 18 of rotor drive is positioned in axial alignment with pivot joints connecting main frame 1 to auxiliary frame 13. Digging shares 9 have digging portions positioned beyond vertical knives 7 and 8 and provided with auxiliary vertical knives 10 faced toward side opposite to direction of advancement of machine. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and improved quality of roots by reduced injure to roots during extraction process. 4 cl, 2 dwg
