COMPOSITION FOR PREPARING POLYMER CONCRETE INSULATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: heat hydroinsulation and protection of underground steel pipelines. SUBSTANCE: composition comprises 100 wt parts of polyisocyanate; 27.5-105 wt parts of liquid component containing active hydrogen atoms in the molecule; and 72-370 wt parts of solid filler. Said filler comprises 32-100 wt % material with developed structure selected from group consisting of ash of boilers, metallurgical slags and activated carbon. The remaining portion of filler comprises sand with moisture content of not higher than 15 wt %, and cement in amount of 12-32 wt parts per 100 wt parts of sand. Liquid component containing active hydrogen atoms in the molecule includes mixture of polyol selected from group consisting of diethylene glycol, laprol 1003, laprol 2002 and laprol 5003 with triethanol amino in amount corresponding to 15-58.5 and 1.5-17.5 wt parts per 100 wt parts of polyisocyanate. Liquid component containing active hydrogen atoms also includes dimethylformamide in amount of 12-50 parts per 100 wt parts of polyisocyanate (with or without polyol-triethanol amine mixture). In order to improve compatibility conditions for components, composition also includes acetone in amount of 11-32.5 wt parts per 100 wt parts of polyisocyanate. The claimed composition makes it possible to prepare insulation layers of desired volume weight during rapid and effective foaming. EFFECT: improved properties of the composition. 2 tbl
