FIELD: railway transport; maintenance and repair of permanent way. SUBSTANCE: methods comes to the following: electric signal appearing at sagging of rail under each bogie of train car is recorder and each time at least two distances between transmitter and support point of bogie wheel nearest to transmitter are determined at which zero sagging of rail is revealed and basing on obtained distance values at action of all bogies of train cars, average value and variance of sought-for coefficient are found. Device has rail sagging transmitter, rail sagging recorder and series connected railway base and rail relative rigidity coefficient meter and sought for coefficient value indicator. Device has also meter indicating distance between transmitter and support point of bogie wheel nearest to transmitter at which zero rail sagging is detected, and device control unit. EFFECT: provision of operative finding of coefficient at train running in real time. 3 cl, 6 dwg
