FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in underground mining of mineral deposits when artificial ceiling must be provided so as to ensure safety execution of mining operations. According to method, primary and secondary drifts of trapezoidal cross-section are driven and they are supported with alternation of large and small bases of trapezium in roof and floor of ceiling. Primary drifts are supported by metal frames, and secondary drifts are supported by reinforcing nets in compliance with reinforcing arrangement scheme. Axis of primary drifts coincides with axis of remaining interchamber pillars. Supports of drifts are left as working reinforcement of artificial ceiling. Aforesaid embodiment widens field of application to systems with left interchamber pillars. It increases speed of erecting artificial ceilings and stoping of chambers due to their larger span.
