FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; cleaning exhaust gases from toxic substances. SUBSTANCE: device has housing with perforated partitions dividing the housing into inlet, intermediate, middle and outlet chambers. Inlet and outlet branch pipes are installed, respectively, in inlet and outlet chambers. Branch pipes have different size holes and cleaning members secured in branch pipes by one end only. Cleaning member can be installed also in middle chamber. Cleaning members installed in branch pipes are made in form of resilient helical bodies. Proposed invention provides free passage of exhaust gases through device which materially increases efficiency of installations. EFFECT: improved cleaning of exhaust gases, effective damping of noises. 6 cl, 1 dwg
