FIELD: mechanical engineering; exhaust gas catalyst converters. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has catalyst members accommodating exhaust gas flow swirler. Members are made in form of spiral whose ends are fixed in grooves of plates coupled by ties. Exhaust gas flow swirler is made of flat blank, plate or tape. Recess is made over entire length of swirler. Through holes are made at two side relative to recess. Catalyst member is made of nickel containing material. Chromium and titanium can also be present in material. Exhaust gas flow swirler can be made either of structural steel or if nickel containing material. Device is frameless, its housing being walls of structure into which device is fitted, for instance, pipes through which exhaust are directed to muffler.
