SMALL ARMS, SOTSKOV REVOLVER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: small arms. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in samples of plain-barrel guns. Invention employs such advantages of revolver as absence of bolt, usage of revolver cartridge chamber revolving about axis perpendicular to axis of barrel which results in diminished dimensions and mass of weapon. It automatically integrates processes of loading and removal of ruined, broken fired cases without usage of complex ejector mechanisms as removal is carried out by pusher deflected to working position via cartridge located in intermediate cartridge chamber while the latter moves together with interconnected revolver cartridge chamber, tubular magazine and forestock along axis of barrel by length of cartridge. Fired case falls to feet of hunter and loaded revolver cartridge chamber occupies firing position under action of return spring after turn on rack installed longitudinally. Invention uses advantages of gun with mobile forestock: excellent hitting, high reliability and wear resistance, simplicity and low cost of manufacture, diminished total length, possibility of mounting of sights and muzzle extensions, possibility of repeat usage of fired cases.
