FIELD: construction; granulators for formation of granules in production of expanded clay aggregate. SUBSTANCE: granulator includes drive and conical working member with perforated lining enclosed in casing. Sealing of gaps between working members and casing are made in the form with closed profile formed by C-shaped walls of banding of working members and casing flanges. Perforated linings are made of members secured between ribs on perforated load-carrying walls of working members. Members of perforated linings may be flat or curved with holes whose diameters are smaller than that of holes in load-carrying walls of working member. Besides, one of working members may be installed on turning cross-member and connected with drive by means of material treated between working members. In this case, sealing of gaps between working members and casing may be made on the side of working hollow only and on the side opposite to working hollow the bandings of working members may be located inside the casing. EFFECT: higher operate reliability, reduced overall dimensions and weight; decreased expenses in installation of granulator. 6 cl, 7 dwg
