FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: seat belt strap pretensioning device has stop member and pyrotechnical power member coupled with seat belt lock by tie-rod. They are mounted under seat cushion and are connected to carrying bracket of slider of one of seat runners. Hinged bushing is used for fastening. Bushing is rigidly coupled with stop member body. Bushing is fitted through holes in lug of seat cushion frame and bracket which connect seat with runner. Part of tie-rod connected with seat belt lock is passed through inner space of bushing. Device is compact, reliable, and simple in design and can built into seat of economy car with limited space for mounting of seat belt members. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 11 cl, 7 dwg
