RECEIVING HOPPER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; receiving of dusty materials discharged from railway freight cars with reduction of dust formation. SUBSTANCE: receiving hopper has container with flexible shutters to reduce dust formation. It has also rail track installed on longitudinal rail beams and rigid shutters made in form of inclined funnel-shaped chutes arranged square to rails. They are secured in upper part by butt joining to rail beams and in lower part are secured to hopper walls by means of braces with clearance to pass material. Rigid shutters are interconnected at outer side of rails to form common uninterrupted row over entire length of container and are installed in inter-rail space in two rows opposite to each other in crisscross manner. Each rigid shutter is overlapped across by flexible shutter placed along vertical end face of side wall of funnel-shaped chute. Container is hermetically closed by cover over perimeter. EFFECT: reduced ejection of dust into working zone from receiving hopper, improved operating conditions, reduced losses of material. 4 dwg
